中世から伝わるとされる非対称バリアント。白はキングとポーン4枚のみだが、1手番につき2回動ける（同じ駒を2回動かしても、別々の駒を1回ずつ動かしてもよい）。白キングは1回目の指し手ではチェックされたままでも／チェックの中に入っても構わないが、2回目の指し手が終わった時点ではチェックを脱していなければならない。白キングは黒キングを直接取ることもでき、それによって即座に勝利する。黒は通常のチェスと全く同じルールで1手ずつ指す。
A variant dating from medieval times. White has only a king and four pawns, but moves twice every turn — either moving one piece twice or two different pieces once each. White's king may remain in or pass through check on the first sub-move, but must be safe by the end of the second. White's king may even capture Black's king outright, winning instantly. Black plays by completely ordinary chess rules, one move per turn.
